The role leverages your mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and welding experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will read blueprints, BOMs, and work instructions, assemble machinery, connect hoses, operate tools, and support quality and safety standards while contributing to continuous improvement and on-time

We're seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to help build and assemble highly engineered diesel‑hydraulic prototype equipment used in the rail industry. This is an opportunity to work on innovative machines, utilizing your mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and welding experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do
Mechanical Assembly
  • Read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials (BOMs), routings, specifications, and work instructions.

  • Assemble machinery and components accurately and efficiently.

  • Connect hydraulic and pneumatic hoses, piping, and systems.

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely.

  • Use jib cranes and material handling equipment as needed.

  • Spray paint parts and prepare equipment for shipping.

  • Rebuild, repair, disassemble, reassemble, and adjust machinery.

  • Maintain quality standards and productivity goals.

Electrical Wiring
  • Read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.

  • Perform point‑to‑point and harness wiring.

  • Wire electrical panels, junction boxes, and control systems.

  • Build or modify harnesses and cables according to specifications.

Welding & Fabrication
  • Perform weld fit‑up, layout, and welding operations.

  • Select proper welding techniques, materials, and equipment settings.

  • Fabricate small components and make adjustments as needed.

  • Change and maintain welding consumables and equipment.

General Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.

  • Complete production and quality documentation.

  • Participate in continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, maintenance, or related fields.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and manufacturing instructions.

  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience wiring electrical boxes, control panels, or breaker boards.

  • Knowledge of voltage systems and electrical schematics.

  • Welding and fabrication experience.

  • Forklift and jib crane operation experience.

  • Trade school education may be considered in lieu of experience.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

  • Frequent bending, climbing, stooping, and standing.

  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.

  • Normal or corrected vision, including depth perception and color vision.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $33.00 per hour
