Job summary

Aerotek in Hatfield, PA is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to read blueprints and assemble large mechanical systems for testing. You will work with sheet metal (aluminum, carbon, stainless) and use hand and power tools in a temperature-controlled shop.

This first shift, 6:00am–2:30pm, is a contract-to-hire, onsite role. Candidates should have 2–5 years of large assembly experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to layout equipment on skids.

Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler with experience in large mechanical assembly work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints and assembling large rooms and equipment for testing purposes, utilizing hand and power tools effectively.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematics.


• Lay out parts and install equipment/parts into large assemblies.


• Install and mount testing equipment.


• Work primarily with sheet metal aluminum, carbon, and stainless steel.


• Use tape measures, hand tools, power tools, drills, and tapping equipment.


• Layout large ductwork for refrigeration purposes.


• Disassemble equipment once it meets client specifications and prepare for shipping.


• Inspect work to ensure proper functionality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience in large mechanical assembly work.


• Strong mechanical aptitude.


• Ability to layout equipment on skids.


• Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools and power tools.

Work Environment

• Work on the 1st Shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm in a manufacturing, custom-build, production environment.


• The facility is clean, organized, and temperature-controlled.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hatfield, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
