Job summary

BLADE (HDT) is seeking Mechanical Assemblers for 1st shift or weekend shift at our Cincinnati, OH facility. Weekend hours are Fri–Sun, 6:00 am–6:30 pm with shift differential. You will set up and operate equipment, assemble per models and drawings, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and experience with hand/power tools, blueprint reading preferred, and are able to lift up to 50 lbs (75 lbs occasionally). OT/weekend work required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Five years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with hand and power tools required.
• Ability to read blueprints preferred.
• Lift up to 50 lbs, occasional up to 75 lbs; PPE as required.
• Willing to work overtime, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assigned machinery.
• Perform advanced assembly functions from models/drawings.
• Install components to contract specifications with hand/power tools.
• Interpret blueprints and work instructions accurately.
• Follow quality and safety standards, meet deadlines.

Job description

BLADE (HDT) is currently seeking Mechanical Assemblers for 1st shift or weekend shift positions at our Cincinnati, OH facility. Weekend shift hours are Friday – Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, with shift differential.

The primary function of this position is to be responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for setting up and operating assigned machinery
• Performs advanced-level assembly functions, which may include; prep, mechanical, spray application, and inspection, typically working from models and/or drawings, within Production
• Installation of components to contract specifications, using a wide range of hand and power tools and equipment
• Interprets blueprints, Process Flow Instructions and other written or verbal instructions
• Follows both visual and written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allotted
• Adheres to all quality and safety standards
• Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of five years of manufacturing related experience preferred
• Experience with hand and power tools required
• Ability to read blueprints preferred
• Must be able to lift and push up to 50 lbs, repetitive motion, with occasional lifting/pushing up to 75 lbs
• Ability to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required per plant rules
• Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary, including weekend
