Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of mechanical engineering experience (2–5 years is ideal).
• Hands-on proficiency with SolidWorks for mechanical design and machine concepts.
• Ability to conceptualize and design complete machines or mechanical systems, not just components.
• Interest in project costing, equipment estimating, and evaluating financial feasibility of solutions.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to travel to customer facilities and interact directly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical concepts and preliminary designs for custom machinery based on customer needs.
• Use SolidWorks to create machine layouts, mechanical designs, and documentation.
• Evaluate equipment requirements, materials, and costs to develop accurate project estimates.
• Communicate with customers to clarify requirements and discuss proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to refine concepts and develop cost-effective solutions.
