Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. seeks a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse equipment fleet including aerial work platforms, pumps, HVAC and power generators. The role requires 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience and may involve bilingual flexibility depending on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired
• 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
• Diagnose and repair equipment in a safe, efficient manner
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems
• Maintain a flexible approach to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
