Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to join our field service team. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair equipment ranging from aerial work platforms to pumps and HVAC systems, working to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment. We offer competitive health benefits, a 401(k) plan, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired
• 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime
• Diagnose issues and repair equipment in a safe, efficient manner
• Work on a variety of makes, models and equipment including aerial work platforms, pumps and HVAC systems
