- Technician roles pay weekly
- Hourly pay: $33.56 per hour
- Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
- Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
- Sign-on bonus: $1,750 at 30 days and $1,750 at 90 days
- Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
- Hours: Second shift, Monday 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or technical certification preferred
- Basic tools required
- Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including:
- Routine preventative maintenance
- Basic diagnostics and repairs, including AC and electrical systems
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
- Other certifications as required by location
- Minimum 2 years of experience with heavy and medium-duty equipment repairs and diagnostics
- Knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
- Driving requirement:
- Must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
- Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background check, and motor vehicle check

Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including:
- Standard vehicle maintenance
- Preventive maintenance
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems
- Complete detailed inspections and repairs
- Replace defective components
- Work independently on most tasks
- Perform facility maintenance duties.
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine issues.
- Use shop management systems and electronic documentation.
- Follow all safety and compliance guidelines.
- Mentor junior technicians.
- Access and utilize maintenance documents.
- Support operations as needed, including service island support.
- Complete SBTIII training within 180 days.
- Complete OEM diagnostic courses as required by fleet.
