Job summary

Star Equipment in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Diesel Service Technician to diagnose and repair construction equipment in a professional shop. You’ll troubleshoot diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems and complete service documentation accurately.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair construction equipment in a professional shop environment
• Troubleshoot diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and manufacturer resources
• Operate equipment for testing and repair verification
• Complete work orders and service documentation accurately and on time
• Perform repairs safely and efficiently

Qualifications

• Experience with construction equipment, diesel engines, heavy equipment, automotive repair, agricultural equipment, or related mechanical repair preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable using computers and electronic service information
• Must provide basic hand tools or be willing to acquire tools with company assistance
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
