Job summary

Rueter’s is a certified dealer for agricultural and construction equipment with seven locations in the region. As a Service Technician in Carroll, IA, you will perform maintenance and repairs on equipment both in the shop and in the field, ensuring accuracy in documentation and adherence to safety standards.

You will diagnose complex issues, meet productivity targets, participate in ongoing training, and uphold fair billing practices for customers, while collaborating with a team focused on

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of diesel, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a customer-first mindset.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Prior experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical Technician, or similar role.
• Automotive and transportation techs encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

As a Service Technician, you’ll perform maintenance and repairs on ag and construction equipment in both the shop and the field.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing and performing basic to complex repairs
• Documenting parts and services performed accurately
• Meeting service efficiency and productivity goals
• Participating in ongoing training and development
• Following all safety protocols

What We’re Looking For

The Details

• Location: Carroll, IA
• Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (occasional evenings/weekends)
• Travel: Local day travel expected
• Work Environment: Split between shop and field settings, occasional exposure to outdoor elements and uneven surfaces. Ability to lift 25+ lbs regularly required.
