Job Overview

We are seeking skilled Machine Repair Mechanics to maintain and repair essential equipment, conduct predictive and preventive maintenance, and perform mechanical hardware upgrades. The role involves troubleshooting, replacing faulty equipment, and assembling and rebuilding a wide range of plant machinery, including NC machines, robots, and other manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

1. Examine machines and equipment using sensory inspection and monitoring tools to recommend repairs.
2. Dismantle machines to access faulty parts using various mechanic's hand tools.
3. Develop maintenance procedures and create tools to facilitate work when documentation is unavailable.
4. Obtain and create replacement parts, including reverse engineering if necessary.
5. Check work using precision measuring instruments and reassemble machines, ensuring proper performance.
6. Perform preventive maintenance on gearboxes, motors, autoclaves, compressors, robots, and CNC machines.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED
• Minimum 4 years of related experience
• Ability to use mechanical concepts, machine shop mathematics, and precision measuring instruments
• Commitment to safety and proper PPE usage
• Experience with diagnostics, repair, and interpreting technical manuals and schematics
• Willingness to instruct less experienced mechanics
• Physical ability to work in loud, dirty environments, lift heavy parts, and work in tight spaces

Preferred Skills

• Ability to run small bench lathe, drill press, surface grinder
• Welding experience
• Experience with aligning multi-axis milling machines and maintaining autoclaves

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $38.00/hour + shift differential. Benefits include healthcare, 401k, paid time off, educational reimbursement, onsite gym, and on-the-job training.
