Job summary

Rural King seeks a Mechanic I to diagnose, service, and repair customer and company-owned equipment in our in-store repair shop. You will work with small engines, tractors, diesel equipment, hydraulic systems, and outdoor power gear while managing repair work orders, parts, warranty claims, and customer service.

You will troubleshoot mechanical issues, communicate findings to customers, and participate in ongoing training to stay current with equipment procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair small engines, tractors, diesel equipment, and hydraulic systems.
• Manage customer repair work orders from intake through completion.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service on customer and company-owned equipment.
• Use diagnostic software, multimeters, tools, schematics, and manuals to complete repairs.
• Document work performed, parts used, and warranty claims.
• Communicate repair recommendations and maintenance information to customers.
