Job summary

Sibelco Group in Delavan, WI is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility machinery. You will read mechanical and electrical drawings, troubleshoot issues, and weld or fabricate replacements as needed. This role focuses on reliability and safety in a hands-on maintenance environment.

The position is full-time, on-site, with opportunities to mentor junior technicians and support continuous improvement across operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Team player with good communication.
  • Willing to learn and train others.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance spare parts inventory and order parts as needed.
  • Perform general preventative maintenance and repairs on facility machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues and pneumatic valves.
  • Weld, fabricate and patch steel components as needed.
  • Rig and install motors, conveyor pulleys, and other heavy machinery.
  • Maintain and back up sorting computer software and parameters.
  • Complete daily maintenance logs and manage preventative Maintenance programs.
  • Communicate equipment issues across shifts and support team efforts.
  • Provide on the job training to new employees and serve as backup for other technicians.

Your Impact in This Role

As a Mechanic, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Glass processing knowledge is a plus
