Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Install, test and troubleshoot HVAC systems for various buildings.
  • Maintain air compressors, vacuum pumps, and electromechanical control systems.
  • Interact with other trades and laboratory administration on job performance.
  • Order supplies from approved vendors and troubleshoot maintenance problems.
  • Recycle and manage refrigerants in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Skills

Strong computer skills

Ability to read blueprints and complex wiring diagrams
Knowledge of BMS beyond the graphics level

Position Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, pumps, and energy management systems.
  • Install, test and troubleshoot HVAC systems for laboratory, administrative, and residential buildings.
  • Maintain air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers, electromechanical control systems and other mechanical systems.
  • Interact with other trades, scientific staff and laboratory administration on job performance.
  • Order necessary supplies and materials from approved vendors.
  • Troubleshoot maintenance problems.
  • Reclaim, recycle and add CFC and HCFC refrigerants to air conditioning and refrigeration systems in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Position Requirements

Compensation and Benefits
