Job summary

Transdev North America in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced A-Level Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain gasoline engines across our fleet and equipment. You will contribute to safety, efficiency, and longevity of gas-powered assets while supporting a hands-on team in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers a starting pay of $34.90/hr with progression to $36.29/hr over four years, plus a benefits package including paid time off, health coverage after a probation period, and

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Mechanic.
  • ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided.
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical per 49 CFR Part 40.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine repairs on gasoline engines.
  • Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
  • Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
  • Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine repair strategies for gas engines.
  • Provide guidance to junior technicians and assist in skill development.

Maintenance Technician A (I)

Transdev in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced A-Level Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining gasoline engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our gas-powered assets.



  • Starting pay $34.90 with progression to $36.29 over 4 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on gasoline engines.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs

  • Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.

  • Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for gas engines.

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on gas engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.

  • Other duties as required.


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanic.

  • ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided.

  • Mechanic's Tool Set

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.


Physical Requirements

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:



  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.

  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces

  • Push and pull objects up to 20 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level

  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
