Job summary

Transdev is seeking a Maintenance Technician B (II) in the United States to diagnose and repair diesel engines. You will work with advanced diagnostic tools, perform routine maintenance, and assist senior mechanics in complex tasks to keep fleets running reliably.

Responsibilities include leading tests, overhauling components, and mentoring junior technicians. A DOT drug test may be required; DOT regulations apply where needed. This role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
• Mechanic’s tool set.
• DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

• Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot diesel engine issues.
• Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on diesel engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Mechanic’s Tool Set.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
