Job summary

Transdev in Norcross, GA is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a range of vehicles and equipment. You will work under supervision, perform routine maintenance, and assist senior mechanics to ensure safety and reliability of our fleet.

Qualifications include 3+ years as a Diesel Mechanic and a DOT drug testing requirement. Benefits include vacation, sick leave, ASE training, and 401k, with a union payscale of about $32.14 per hour.

Maintenance Technician B - (II)

Transdev in Norcross, GA is seeking an experienced B-Level Diesel Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement

• $32.14 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)

Benefits include

• Vacation : up to 40 hours after 1 year of service.
• Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly full-time employees/ 4 hrs monthly for part- time employees; medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Mechanic’s Tool Set
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
• Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
