Job summary

Fox Rent A Car, Inc. is seeking ASE certified automotive technicians to keep the fleet rental-ready. You will perform medium-to-light repairs, conduct oil changes, rotate tires, and ensure TPMS and all vehicle systems meet safety standards.

You will document repairs and create electronic repair orders for each vehicle worked on. Minimum 2-3 years of automotive technician experience, with fleet or rental company exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• ASE Certification(s) required.
• High School Diploma, GED, or Technical school graduate.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an automotive technician, ideally with fleet or vehicle rental companies.
• Experience with preventative maintenance tasks — oil changes, tire rotations, and safety inspections.
• Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform medium-to-light mechanical repairs and replacements on fleet vehicles.
• Conduct regular oil changes to maintain vehicle performance.
• Rotate tires as part of preventative maintenance checks.
• Monitor tire tread depth and replace tires when necessary to meet safety requirements.
• Ensure the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) functions appropriately with no warning lights.
• Verify that all vehicle controls — lights, brakes, and electronics — work correctly.
• Conduct thorough vehicle safety checks before releasing vehicles for rental use.
• Document every repair and service on the Repair Order Record sheet.
• Create an Electronic Repair Order (ERO) for every vehicle worked on.
• Communicate any persistent vehicle issues or defects to the Fleet Manager/Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs and objectives.
