Qualifications

• ASE Certification is required.
• 2-3 years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably with fleet/vehicle rental companies.
• Experience with preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and safety inspections.
• Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform medium-to-light mechanical repairs and replacements on fleet vehicles.
• Conduct regular oil changes to maintain vehicle performance.
• Rotate tires as part of preventative maintenance checks.
• Monitor tire tread depth and replace tires to meet safety requirements.
• Ensure TPMS functions without warning lights.
• Verify operation of vehicle controls (lights, brakes, electronics).
• Conduct thorough vehicle safety checks before rental release.
• Document repairs and services on Repair Order Records; create Electronic Repair Orders (ERO).
• Report persistent issues to Fleet Manager/Supervisor.
• Perform other duties to support business needs.

Job Description Your expertise keeps the fleet moving - and the customers rolling. At Fox Rent A Car, our ASE Certified Technicians are the backbone of a fleet that stays rental-ready. You'll perform essential repairs, run safety checks, and ensure every vehicle we hand over to a customer is in top condition.

Your Primary Focus Is To Perform medium-to-light mechanical repairs and replacements on fleet vehicles

• Conduct regular oil changes to maintain vehicle performance
• Rotate tires as part of preventative maintenance checks
• Monitor tire tread depth and replace tires when necessary to meet safety requirements
• Ensure the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) functions appropriately with no warning lights
• Verify that all vehicle controls - lights, brakes, and electronics - work correctly
• Conduct thorough vehicle safety checks before releasing vehicles for rental use
• Document every repair and service on the Repair Order Record sheet
• Create an Electronic Repair Order (ERO) for every vehicle worked on
• Communicate any persistent vehicle issues or defects to the Fleet Manager/Supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs and objectives

Education & Experience

• ASE Certification(s) required
• High School Diploma, GED, or Technical school graduate
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an automotive technician, ideally with fleet or vehicle rental companies
• Previous experience with preventative maintenance tasks - oil changes, tire rotations, and safety inspections
• Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues

• Valid driver's license with the ability to maintain it
• Ability to prioritize tasks and complete assignments within established timeframes
• Comfortable working in various conditions, including weather, hazardous materials, and noise
• Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• A basic set of hand tools is preferred
