Job summary

Europcar Mobility Group, in New York, is seeking a Fleet Coordinator to manage daily vehicle inventory, coordinate repairs, and sustain open communication across teams and vendors to prevent gaps in service.

You will monitor idle/out-of-service vehicles, issue POs, assist with vehicle movement, and manage the complete vehicle cycle including recalls and timely venting for repairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of office experience.
• 2+ years in car rental industry preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean background.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily inventory of all vehicles.
• Update the status of idle and out-of-service vehicles daily.
• Monitor overdue rentals and take action as needed.
• Issue purchase orders to vendors.
• Assist with movement of vehicles as required.
• Vent non-rentable vehicles for repair in a timely manner.
• Respond promptly to email requests.
• Assist with fleeting and de-fleeting vehicles.
• Coordinate transfers of vehicles needing repair to vendors or facilities.
• Support all aspects of the vehicle cycle from arrival to return.
• Pull vehicles with safety recalls out of service.
• Maintain accurate vehicle status including repairs and transfers.
• Research inconsistencies and support business needs.

At Fox Rent A Car, our Fleet Coordinators are the organizational hub behind a fleet that runs without gaps. You’ll track vehicles, coordinate repairs, and keep the communication flowing between teams and vendors to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

Your Primary Focus Is To

• Oversee the daily inventory of all vehicles
• Update the status of all idle and out-of-service vehicles daily
• Monitor overdue rentals and take action as needed
• Issue POs to vendors
• Help with the movement of vehicles when needed
• See that non-rentable vehicles are vented for repair in a timely manner
• Respond promptly to all email requests
• Assist with fleeting and de-fleeting vehicles
• Coordinate the transfer of cars needing repair and/or maintenance to the respective vendor or facility
• Assist with all aspects of the vehicle cycle, including arrival at the location and return at end of cycle
• Assist with pulling cars with safety recalls out of service
• Maintain an accurate status of the rental fleet — repair orders, vehicle transfers, and movements
• Research any inconsistencies
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs and objectives

Education & Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of office experience
• 2+ years of previous experience within the car rental industry preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean background
