Job summary

Hyatt Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Mechanic to maintain guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front/back-of-house areas. The role requires strong trouble-shooting skills, the ability to read blue prints and schematics, and good communication. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in building maintenance is preferred.

Open availability on weekends and holidays is expected. The position offers an hourly starting rate and requires wide knowledge of life-safety and major building systems.

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

**Starting rate: $28.00 per hour

A Mechanic will be responsible for shift coverage and therefore must possess strong trouble-shooting skills in all areas of maintenance. This would include Guest rooms, meeting space, Front-of-House areas, and Back-of-House (such as the kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems.). The ability to read blue prints and schematics is preferred. A minimum of 5 years’ experience is preferred with handling building maintenance. A strong working knowledge of all major building systems, including life-safety systems, is required for this position. Good communication skills are necessary.

• Must have open availability, including the weekends and holidays


• Previous hotel or large property experience is preferred.


• Weekend and Holiday availability.


• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.


• Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry at least 50 lbs.
