Job summary

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino in Incline Village, NV is seeking a Resort-Wide Maintenance Technician II to perform skilled maintenance across guest rooms, residences, public areas, and facilities.

You will troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, and building systems; respond to service requests with exceptional guest service; work with preventive maintenance programs; and support capital projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade school education preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in hospitality or resort facilities maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing building systems independently.
• Certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO, or similar) preferred.

The Resort-Wide Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing skilled maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance throughout the resort, including guest rooms, residences, public areas, food and beverage outlets, mechanical equipment, and resort infrastructure. This position requires advanced troubleshooting and repair abilities in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, and general building maintenance. As a guest-facing team member, the Maintenance Technician II is expected to deliver exceptional customer service while responding to maintenance requests and facility-related concerns in a professional, timely, and effective manner. This role contributes directly to guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and the overall resort experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests, house calls, and maintenance work orders within established service standards.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, mechanical, kitchen equipment, and general building systems.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on guestrooms, residences, public areas, mechanical systems, and resort facilities.
• Utilize HotSOS or other designated maintenance management systems to document service requests, response times, repairs, and completion status.
• Conduct inspections and repairs of guestrooms, residences, and VIP accommodations to ensure they are guest ready.
• Support emergency maintenance situations, operational needs, capital improvements, renovations, and special projects as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, shops, storage locations, vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure all work areas are left clean, safe, and guest-ready following completion of repairs.
• Participate in facility inspections, inventory management, energy conservation efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Report unsafe conditions, accidents, or potential hazards immediately and comply with all company policies, safety standards, and operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical, vocational, or trade school education preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in hospitality, resort, hotel, commercial facilities maintenance, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC operations, appliance repair, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Experience independently diagnosing and repairing building systems and mechanical equipment.
• Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and computerized work order systems.
• EPA, HVAC, Certified Pool Operator (CPO), or other trade certifications preferred.
• Luxury resort or hospitality maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license required and must meet resort driving standards.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
