Responsibilities:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment as part of a team of mechanics, electricians, and control technicians.
• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment repairs to ensure continuous production.
• Operate mechanical equipment to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Safely use various hand and power tools, including machine shop equipment.
• Demonstrate proficiency in welding, soldering, and pipe fitting.
• Work on hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems.
• Set up and operate conventional, special-purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines.
• Fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts according to specifications.
• Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions on materials for machining.
• Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to resolve machining or assembly problems.
• Perform backup duties for the Maintenance Mechanic position as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; College Diploma preferred
• Minimum 2 years' training in Technical or Vocational Institute/Center
• 5+ years' experience with automatic/high-speed packaging machinery
• Black Seal Boiler Operator's License
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of PLCs, electronic circuitry, and standard maintenance safety procedures
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and communication)
• May be required to pass Sika Corporation proficiency test (reading comprehension and math)
