Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Meat Department team member to prepare and display meat products, assist customers, and uphold the company’s values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

You will maintain product quality, rotate stock, and help ensure a clean, organized store environment. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards, with the ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting and provide excellent customer

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Able to read shelf tags, signs, and product labels.
• Qualified to operate power tools including wrapper, slicer, grinder, power saw, and jack.
• Must work safely with cleaning solutions.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and display merchandise neatly and efficiently.
• Check product quality and rotate stock to stay fresh.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Operate display cases, unload trucks, and prepare merchandise for sale.
• Provide good customer and associate relations.
• Wash and sanitize equipment per policies and health regulations.
• Greet customers and assist them in finding products.
• Follow all company, state, and federal rules and dress codes.
