Job summary

Fred Meyer, Inc. is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to prepare and display meat items, wait on customers, and uphold the company’s standards and core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, read shelf tags, operate slicers, wrappers, grinders and related equipment, follow safety procedures, rotate stock, and provide friendly service to customers while supporting fellow associates.

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Able to read shelf tags, signs, and product labels.
• Able to operate meat department equipment (wrapper, slicer, grinder, power saw).
• Must work safely with cleaning solutions.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and display meat items for sale.
• Wait on customers and provide service.
