Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking team members for the Meat department to provide excellent customer service, stock and display products, and ensure food safety and quality standards are met. The role requires attention to cleanliness, proper temperature monitoring, and adherence to company policies.

Ideal candidates will communicate clearly, work well in a fast-paced environment, and be willing to work weekends.

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills that engage our customers and associates.
• Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Ability to multitask, set priorities, present information in a professional manner and work with all levels of the organization.
• Personal initiative and follow through to completion.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
• Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate all production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and counter promptly and cheerfully; greet customers and provide good quality food.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Must be able to communicate with customers and associates.
• Make clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
• Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods per company standards.
• Perform required temperature monitoring.
• Monitor product quality; ensure freshness and safety.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils per policies.
• Maintain signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality and space Allocation.
• Maintain equipment and facilities properly and safely per policies.
• Adhere to company policies, and state/federal laws.
• Operate cash register per procedures, if applicable.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a nonconfrontational manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support through interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
