Tyson Foods in Newbern, TN is hiring for a production operator on 1st shift. Schedule is Monday–Friday with possible Saturdays, 7:00 am–4:00 pm. Pay is $22.45 per hour.

The role involves setting up equipment, transporting meat between departments, and ensuring safety and company policies are followed. You will monitor the production area for debris, perform other tasks as assigned, and uphold SQF 2000 principles.

Formación

• Must be willing to work in temperatures at or below 35°F for 8 hours.
• Must be able to work around machinery and chemicals.

Job Description

• Set up equipment in preparation for startup, and responsible for transportation of meat to and from department, while also being able to adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies.
• Monitor production area for trash and debris on floor.
• Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent.
• All employees are responsible for upholding the principals of SQF 2000.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to work cycles in less than 20 seconds.
• Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
• Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.
• Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
• This position does not accept rehires
• Must have 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 MThs of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agricultural or production experience.
