Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Meat Service Clerk to join the Meat Department. The role focuses on providing prompt, friendly customer service, wrapping and weighing products, stocking cases, and assisting customers in finding items.

You will maintain proper sanitation, rotate stock for freshness, and work with coworkers to ensure a positive shopping experience. Prior food service experience and the ability to lift and move product are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent experience, food safety training.
• Six months or less of similar or related work.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by treating customers as the most important people in the store.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner in department or elsewhere in the store.
• Assists customers by guiding to products, securing items, and passing along requests to improve the shopping experience.
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly service to customers who call, including taking orders.
• Works with coworkers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Wraps, weighs, and labels product; rotates stock for freshness.
