Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Meat Clerk to provide prompt, friendly customer service within the Meat/Seafood Department. Responsibilities include stocking, trimming, weighing, labeling, and ensuring fresh, properly displayed products.

You will maintain sanitation, assist with receiving merchandise, and support customers with product needs to enhance their shopping experience. The role requires High School level education or equivalent and food safety training, with prior related work experience

Qualifications

• Must have ability to provide prompt, courteous customer service.
• Ability to learn customers’ names and address them by name when possible.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, friendly service, greet customers, and assist with product location.
• Wrap, weigh, label, and stock meat and seafood products; ensure freshness and proper display.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the department and work area.
• Assist in receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise; report out-of-stock items.
• Adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and personal hygiene standards.
