Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Meat Team Leader to oversee day-to-day merchandising, stocking, product flow, planograms, and pricing for Meat and Seafood.

You will lead Meat team members and drive department performance, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company standards. The role requires strong team leadership, scheduling, and execution of department procedures, with focus on safety, quality, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people-management capabilities.
• Scheduling and staffing coordination experience.
• merchandising and product flow understanding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Responsible for achieving financial performance goals in both Meat and Seafood departments.
• Conducts interviews to ensure proper staffing levels are achieved.
• Trains Meat team members to build a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
• Writes and manages Meat schedules to achieve service levels and control costs.
• Ensures Real Time Apply is completed accurately and on time.
• Ensures signing execution and pricing accuracy are maintained.
• Accountable for sanitation and safety procedures in the department.
• Controls and manages inventory shrinkage through proper rotation and planning.
• Responds to MITS tasks in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
