Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to support the Meat & Seafood Manager in running a high-volume department with a focus on quality, freshness, and customer service. You will help lead a busy team, manage inventory, and ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires 2–3 years in grocery meat operations and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+, with basic math skills and weights/measures knowledge.
• Minimum of 2 years professional leadership experience and 2–3 years grocery retail Meat dept experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and team supervision in Meat & Seafood.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, weights & measures and company recipes.
