Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Meat Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced, customer‑driven environment. You will handle meat receipt, storage, grinding, and rotation while delivering friendly service and guiding customers to products.

You will follow safety protocols, manage weights and measures, and assist with daily tasks to keep the department efficient. This hands-on role requires lifting, standing, and operating basic meat-cutting equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent with basic math knowledge.
• Be dependable and reliable and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with the ability to interact with customers.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Follow safety, weights and measures regulations and company recipes.
• Able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time and walk up to 2 miles per shift.
• Capable of lifting 25–90 lbs., and operating equipment like pallet jacks and tenderizers.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service in a fast-paced grocery setting.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload and rotate meat products.
• Assist customers with questions, special orders, and product locations.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to the department's programs, such as Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4.
• Know weekly ad items and support smooth department operations.
