Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat Clerk to join the team. You will provide outstanding customer service, handle meat receiving, storage, and preparation, and ensure freshness through rotation and safety practices in a high-volume store.

You will work in a temperature-controlled meat department, requiring physical stamina and adherence to all safety guidelines, while assisting customers with questions and special orders in a friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be dependable and reliable with ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have good communication and customer service skills; able to interact with customers and work in a team.
• Must be capable of standing for up to 4 hours continuously and up to 8 hours per shift.
• Able to lift/carry 25–90 lbs. and move pallets up to 500 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of customer service in a fast-paced grocery environment; assist customers with questions and special orders.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; inspect and rotate products to ensure freshness.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in the meat department and follow company procedures.
