Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat Clerk to join our busy store, handling meat processing, receiving and stocking, while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with fresh and packaged meats, follow safety guidelines, assist customers with questions and fulfill special orders, maintaining a clean, organized department and adhering to program standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Dependable and reliable; willing to perform other duties as assigned.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• General housekeeping in the department and sanitize work area.
• Stand for up to 4 hours continuously, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Able to lift/carry 25–90 lbs. and move pallets up to 500 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service and safe food handling; knowledge of products and preparation techniques.
• Receive, store and grind meats; unload deliveries; weigh items and verify against invoices; rotate meats.
• Assist customers with questions, special orders, and maintain a customer-focused environment.
• Follow the department's Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs.
