New Seasons Market is hiring a Meat Clerk to support the Meat and Seafood departments in Oregon. You will assist customers, provide product recommendations, and help maintain the butcher cases with quality, freshness and accurate labeling.

Responsibilities include preparing, weighing, wrapping products, stocking cases, and fulfilling special orders while upholding safety standards and a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, food service, retail or grocery experience preferred.
• Basic knife skills preferred, with ability to learn proper use in a commercial setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares Meat and Seafood department for store opening and closing.
• Assists customers with product selection, shares product knowledge, and makes recommendations.
• Prepares, cuts, wraps, weighs, tares, prices and presents Meat and Seafood products.
• Stocks and maintains meat and seafood cases and handles special orders.
• Maintains accurate pricing and signage meeting merchandising standards and safety policies.
• Follows department guidelines and contributes to a clean, organized workspace.
