Job summary

New Seasons Market is seeking a Meat Clerk in Oregon to prepare, stock and wrap Meat & Seafood products with a focus on customer service. You will weigh, price, and present items while maintaining clean, organized cases and upholding safety standards.

Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support store operations; prior grocery experience is a plus. This role is on-site at our Portland area store(s).

Qualifications

• Previous retail/grocery customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to handle knives and meat processing equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stock, and present Meat & Seafood products for customers.
• Assist customers with product selection and provide knowledge-based recommendations.
• Wrap, weigh, and price products accurately; maintain case cleanliness and merchandising standards.
• Complete special orders and ensure timely follow-through.
