Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat Clerk to deliver friendly, fast-paced service in our meat department. You will receive, store, and prepare meats, assist customers with questions, and ensure accurate weighing and portioning according to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and basic math knowledge.
• Dependable, reliable, and willing to perform related duties.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor; positive attitude; strong customer interaction.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to stand up to 4 hours per shift and up to 8 hours per day.
• Capable of lifting 25–90 lbs and moving pallets up to 500 lbs.
• Able to operate pallet jack and handle heavy items.
• Must have good vision for sharp knives, band saw, grinder, and other equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of customer service in the meat department.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload deliveries and verify weights.
• Rotate meats to prevent aging and ensure freshness.
• Assist customers with questions and special orders; direct to product locations.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow department programs (Clean as You Go, Fresh at 4).
• Be knowledgeable about weekly ad items and product locations.
