Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat Clerk to join the team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You will handle receiving, storage, and preparation of meats, provide expert product knowledge, assist customers with special orders, and maintain cleanliness under all safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus basic math, weights and measures knowledge.
• Dependable and reliable; perform other related duties as assigned.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with customers and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction within a team environment.
• Stand for up to 4 hours continuously, up to 8 hours per shift; walk up to 2 miles per 8 hours.
• Work inside a temperature controlled area; follow safety guidelines.
• Lift/carry 25–90 lbs., move pallets and racks as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service in a fast-paced department.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload from delivery; weigh and inspect items.
• Assist customers with questions and special orders; guide to product locations.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and follow Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs.
