• Understand and use company tools such as financial reports, scheduling, productivity, ordering, and business information systems.
• Maintain communication within the department, with the store manager, and throughout the organization.
• Maintain merchandising techniques and layouts consistent with company standards.
• Ensure department compliance with pricing and coding policy.
• Work within the company's management planning guidelines to maintain productivity.
• Support company safety standards and communicate needed equipment repairs or maintenance.
• Develop product knowledge in all meat department areas, including preparation.
• Ensure training of all meat associates and adherence to sanitation and food safety standards.
• Maintain department appearance, presentation, and fairness in dealing with associates.
