• In the absence of the department manager, manage department operations per standards.
• Maintain neat, well-groomed appearance and comply with appearance policy.
• Recognize associates delivering great service and coach to expectations.
• Understand and use company tools such as financial reports, scheduling, and systems.
• Maintain communication within department, store manager, and organization.
• Maintain merchandising techniques and layouts per company standards.
• Ensure department pricing and coding policy compliance.
• Work within MPP guidelines to maintain productivity.
• Support safety standards; report repairs or maintenance needs.
• Develop product knowledge in meat department, including prep.
• Understand department's Standard Practice manual.
• Ensure proper training of all meat associates.
• Maintain sanitation and food safety standards.
• Maintain department appearance and presentation.
• Treat associates with fairness, dignity, and respect.
• Perform special projects and duties as assigned.
