Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to manage, cut, and trim meat and seafood according to company standards and guest requests. You will assist with inventory, pricing integrity, merchandising, and other tasks demanding attention to detail to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities include handling premium meat, monitoring case temperatures, and enforcing safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more of experience in cutting meat
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• All Meat Cutters must be certified within The Fresh Market’s internal training platform within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of products/weekly ad items throughout the store and assist guests in finding products and meal solutions across departments
• Handle, slice, cut, and trim meat and seafood products to TFMarkets standards while managing quality levels
• Monitor temperatures of cases, spillovers, and storage areas to ensure safety and freshness
• Enforce department practices for receiving, stocking, and unloading deliveries to ensure freshness and quality
• Ensure department adherence to safety requirements and protocols, including food safety and legal compliance
