Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Meat and Seafood Clerk to provide excellent guest service in the department. You will use selling skills and merchandising programs to engage guests and maximize sales while maintaining product quality, proper pricing, and department presentation.

Starting pay is $17 per hour. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and Pension, employee discount, paid time off, weekly pay and more.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and selling skills within a retail environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Able to work in a cold environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and create a selling environment in the Meat/Seafood department.
• Prepare knife-ready products (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh, and price) according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Assist in product receiving, inventory, and storage.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat/seafood in sales areas.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
• Communicates shrink issues to management and guest requests/concerns to management.
• Makes PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the meat/seafood department.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
