Boston Provisions Market in Boston Seaport is hiring a Meat & Seafood Counter Associate for part-time availability. You will cut, trim, and prepare premium meats and seafood, engage with customers, and help maintain high food-safety standards.

Previous experience in butcher shops or fish markets is valued, and a positive, learning-driven attitude is essential. Schedule is 15-25 hours per week with the General Manager; pay ranges from $19 to $25 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Friendly, professional demeanor and strong communication are essential.
• Experience in meat and/or fish butchery is preferred.
• Kitchen, restaurant, retail experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and prepare premium meats and seafood to customer specifications.
• Collaborate with a team that values transparency, quality, and craftsmanship.
• Engage with customers, provide recommendations, build relationships, and create a great customer experience.
• Maintain strict cleanliness and food safety standards (HACCP, USDA).
• Receive and stock inventory with attention to quality, rotation, and accuracy.
• Assist with pre-opening and closing duties; lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift.
