Job summary

Walden Local Meat Co. in Boston, MA is seeking a Part Time Meat Counter Specialist for Fridays through Sundays. Hours include Friday 4:00pm–8:00pm and Sat/Sun 10:00am–6:00pm.

Salary is $19.00 per hour, with opportunities to learn butchery skills and contribute to a mission-driven team. Responsibilities include customer service, in-store and home-delivery program promotion, inventory stewardship, and maintaining cleanliness and safety of the shop.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in customer-centric work for premium brands.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move 50–80 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and sell Walden Local products.
• Prepare the store for opening and closing daily.
• Maintain the store's cleanliness and safety.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Promote the Walden home delivery meat share program to customers.
• Educate customers on the meat industry, the Walden mission, and specific meat cuts.
• Opportunity to learn butchery skills, including whole animal butchery and custom cuts.
