Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to support the fresh and processed meats area, assist members, and help maintain high standards across seafood, rotisserie products and prepared foods.

You will weigh, wrap, label, and rotate meat and related items, while assisting the meat cutter and ensuring product availability and quality. A team environment emphasizes speed, accuracy, and member-first service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weigh, package, wrap and label cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Assist the meat cutter in packaging freshly cut meats and seafood.
• Inspect and store meat upon delivery to meet quality standards.
• Rotate products according to expiration dates and dispose of damaged items as directed.
• Receive and unpack meat, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses and maintain clean, sanitized cases.
