Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department team member to receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandize fresh and processed meats. You’ll assist Members by answering questions and recommending products while maintaining safety standards in the meat department.

Responsibilities include weighing, packaging, labeling, and stocking meat, seafood, and prepared foods, plus rotating products by expiration date and ensuring clean, organized displays. 18+ years old required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• Age requirement: must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, including grinding.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery to ensure quality standards.
• Keeps meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases stocked and rotated by expiration date.
• Assists in maintaining cleanliness and safety in the meat department.
