Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Virginia is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to assist Members with questions, weigh and package meats, and maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness. You will help merchandize fresh and prepared meats and contribute to a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities include rotating stock, labeling products, and keeping the meat and seafood cases stocked. Prior experience with meats or deli work is preferred; must be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Experience handling fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of wrapping machines and processes preferred.
• Experience in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assists Members by answering questions about meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels meat cuts, including grinding as needed.
• Inspects and stores meat on delivery, ensuring quality standards.
• Keeps meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases stocked and rotated.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in the meat department.
