Overview of Responsibilities

As a Meat Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will work in a popular department, providing high-level customer service, practicing safe food handling, and demonstrating product knowledge and preparation techniques. Your duties include receiving, storing, and grinding meats; unloading and transporting meats from delivery; counting, weighing, and verifying incoming products; examining and rotating meats to prevent aging. You will assist customers with questions, special orders, and product locations, while maintaining a positive work environment and adhering to all procedural guidelines. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have basic math, weights, and measures knowledge.
• Dependable, reliable, and able to perform additional duties as needed.
• Outgoing, friendly, with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Capable of standing for up to 4 hours continuously, walking up to 2 miles per shift.
• Able to lift/carry 25-90 lbs., operate equipment, and work in temperature-controlled environments.
