Responsibilities

As a Meat Clerk, you'll work in a key department, providing high-quality customer service, practicing safe food handling, and demonstrating product knowledge. Your duties include receiving, storing, and grinding meats; unloading and transporting meats from delivery trucks; verifying incoming products against invoices; examining and rotating meats to prevent aging; assisting customers with questions and special orders; and maintaining cleanliness through our 'Clean as You Go' and 'Fresh at 4' programs. Adherence to departmental procedures is essential. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic math skills.
• Dependable, reliable, and willing to perform related duties.
• Outgoing, friendly, and positive attitude with strong customer interaction skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication and team participation skills.
• Capable of standing for up to 8 hours, walking up to 2 miles per shift.
• Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment and perform cleaning duties.
• Good vision for handling knives and equipment safely.
• Ability to lift and carry weights from 25 to 90 lbs., and operate equipment like pallet jacks.
