Position Title: Meat/Seafood Butcher

Responsibilities
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience by preparing and ensuring the freshest quality product.
  • Prepare precise and high-quality cuts of meat/seafood.
  • Maintain department conditions, including proper ordering, inventory, production, and food safety standards.
  • Share product knowledge and expertise with customers.
Requirements
  • Ability to represent and support Big Y's culture of caring, aligning with our Mission & Vision.
  • Support Big Y's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
  • Proficiency in ordering for the meat and seafood departments.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to operate within company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Willingness to cross-train and learn other areas as needed.
  • Flexible schedule according to store needs.
  • Completion of Meat/Seafood Butcher and Culinary Training Program and/or passing a meat skills test.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
