• Inspect fresh shipments for quality, freshness and weights, and verify dates.
• Perform QA inspections on fresh beef and pork to ensure specifications are met.
• Conduct daily date and rotation checks on fresh meat.
• Inspect merchandise returned by member stores and determine disposition.
• Assist merchandising to maintain dates, inventory accuracy and quality specs for incoming products.
• Help vendors with weekly date checks and disposition of short-dated product.
• Assist buyers in maintaining proper rotation and slotting in the warehouse.
• Organize and maintain an accurate, up-to-date record keeping system.
• Keep HACCP records current and compliant.
